Our Business Model

Our business model is based on making pellets easy to use and environmentally friendly.

With Scandinavia’s largest service organization for mobile pellet boilers and well-thought-out transportation, we can offer our customers 24/7 service ready to address any operational disruptions, as well as an energy solution that minimizes climate impact.

With us, you can feel confident that the heating works, as our boilers are digitally connected, allowing us to monitor both combustion and consumption in real-time. By always having staff nearby, we can quickly install and provide secure measures.

We have our own pellet trucks and crane trucks to guarantee operation and quickly be on-site for any relocation or installation changes. We understand and know that a lot can happen at a workplace that may require changes.

Our Billing Method

Our billing method is what we call an “all-inclusive” concept.

This means that our expertise, service and maintenance, alarm measures, ash handling, and constant digital monitoring are included in the kilowatt-hour price. There are no hidden minimum charges or rents. As a customer, you only pay for the energy consumed.

As a customer, you also have access to our customer portal, where you can monitor consumption in real-time for your project.

Pellets are the obvious choice for heating

By using pellets instead of fossil fuels, you can save a lot of money. Additionally, pellets are very stable in terms of price compared to oil and gas.

Pellets are a renewable energy source made from by-products of the forestry industry.

Pellets are a climate-neutral fuel and do not generate more carbon dioxide than the tree absorbs during its lifetime.

Pellets are often produced locally, resulting in short transportation distances.

PelEnergy’s History

A young company with extensive experience and history.

1990

PelEnergy is born from entrepreneurship and a passion for physics and heat.

Thomas Gustafsson, founder of PelEnergy, was involved in introducing construction heating to the Swedish construction industry in the early 90s. With his own installation company, Thomas has carried out over 1500 project planning and temporary heating installations over the years.

2011

In 2011, after 20 years in temporary heating, Thomas rents his first pellet boiler to introduce a mobile and renewable energy source to the construction industry.

Thomas is the first to introduce pellet heating to the construction industry in a mobile and flexible manner. The business model is simple – Energy As A Service. A price based on actual consumption, including maintenance and service.

2011 – 2019

From 2011 to 2019, pellet boilers are rented out circularly by Swedish farmers during the winter months when they no longer need to dry crops, and construction sites need heating.

The existing arrangement reaches a turnover of 20 million SEK.

2020

In the summer of 2020, driven by greater awareness of pellets as an efficient and flexible energy source for the construction industry and growing demand, PelEnergy AB was created.

A brand and organization that owns and develops customized boilers for temporary heating.

2022

In 2022, PelEnergy becomes a family-owned company when one of the sons, Rickard Gustafsson, joins as co-owner and CEO of the company. He brings experience from running the installation and service company for PelEnergy’s boilers and other construction heating installations over the previous five years.

2024

With continuous and steady growth, PelEnergy has introduced first construction heating and then pellets to the construction industry in Sweden. PelEnergy has been the leading player in the Swedish construction market and has also introduced pellet heating to our Scandinavian neighbors Finland and Norway, where we also hold a market-leading position in Finland.
